Light Blue Sleepy Fox Amigurumi
I got to make a Sleepy Fox in a different color for a custom order. I'm going to make myself (or more like mister baby) a turquoise one soon!
Squittle: New Baby Octos
I made these baby octos for Squittle! I haven't made many octos with curly tentacles so this was fun. They're about 6" (15cm) tall with tentacles and 3" (7.6cm) wide.

Amigurumi Swap Spring 2013
I got to be a Swap Angel for MalonB in the Spring 2013 Amigurumi Swap!
I received a cute octopus amigurumi, handmade pincushions, crochet & knitted accessories, mini sand bottle souvenir, and 2 yarns!
Here is what I put together:

I made a wolf amigurumi and fairy stitch markers. I also sent 2 yarns, little notepad, crochet hook, safety eyes, and some felt.
There were no sign ups for the 2 previous swap sign ups so I've decided to just keep it open until there's enough. More information will be posted at a later time.
I really want to keep the group active so that there's at least one swap every 2 months. If you're interested, please join the group! :)

Wolf Amigurumi
I made this for MalonB in the Amigurumi Swap. It's about 8" tall standing and about 5" at the widest. The tail is about 4.5" long and 2.5" wide. I couldn't decide on how I wanted to position the legs so I made them jointed! Now it can sit or stand! :D
I made another wolf because I don't make jointed amigurumi often enough!! It's fun. I made the arms, legs, and tail jointed. Mr. Baby already claimed it by spitting up all over it though.
I remember getting requests from deviantART users to make a wolf version of the Sleepy Fox and I'll still do that. I may make it soon while I still have some gray yarn left.

Squittle: Mini Cuttlefish Amigurumi
I made some mini cuttlefish amigurumi for Squittle! They're about 4" (10cm) tall. I'm going to make a few more in other colors soon! :3
So many ideas for Squittle and just not enough time and yarn/money! I'm hoping to finally get around to making little bags. I made a squid shoulder bag a couple of years ago and before that I was working on an octopus bag. I've also tried making other designs (owl, camera, elephant, etc) but I never got around to finishing them. You can see some of those as WIP/Hibernating/Frogged in my Ravelry projects!

Yellow and Pink Pegasus Amigurumi
I've been wanting to make the Rainbow Unicorn Amigurumi in other colors and designs but it's difficult to find time to make things for fun in between baby time (which is like 98% of the time), writing up patterns, working on orders, etc. So I stayed up a little late and got up early to make a yellow and pink Pegasus! :D
I embroidered on details instead of using felt, made the mane/tail thicker and longer for a french braid, and I used small yarn & 1.30mm hook to make the flowers.
The next Unicorn project is probably going to be a pink and blue pony. (And I'll probably do MLP project later. I'm just not sure which one to make first. Any requests?)

RE Deer Amigurumi Pattern Request
I've been getting requests for the pattern of this deer amigurumi:
It's an amigurumi design that I never finished making though. I started on it a couple of years ago and only put up this photo. I think I frogged most of it last year to use the yarn for a different project.
I couldn't find my old sketches so I drew a quick doodle of how it was going to look like! (From what I can remember... Might have planned on the tail having some white.)
Before I wanted suggestions for the colors... pastels or something different from the usual bright colors I use. Since the work in progress one was just a prototype, I was going to make the final one in different colors. Here's the lineart so if you have any suggestions, please color it in & email it to me!

I'd love to see what you come up with! It'll probably inspire me to try out some new yarns!

Baby Lion Amigurumi

I designed this lion with mister baby in mind! I took a break from my crochet work to make him something cuddly. It took me several hours over a few days to finish it. It's one of my biggest amigurumis so far. It's about 11.5"/29cm tall and 6"/15cm wide.
Here's my little sketch on a post it:

I ended up using the ":3" face for this lion because I couldn't decide on how I wanted to make the nose. It looks cuter this way.
I'm working on writing up the pattern for this. :)
P.S. Come join my Ravelry group to share finished objects made from my patterns, participate in crochet-alongs, ask questions, and more!

Laurie the Duckie Amigurumi
I tested another one of Harugurumi's amigurumi patterns: Laurie the Duckie. I've loved this design for years so it's awesome I got to test the pattern.
I used Red Heart Super Savers in Petal Pink, Pumpkin, Turqua, and White.

Dragon Amigurumi is my design.
I just wanted to clear this up because I’ve been getting a lot of messages about my Dragon Amigurumi since I re-released the pattern.
Some people think I copied or based my dragon on All About Ami’s dragon (which was based on Oborocharms’s artwork) or just based it on Oborocharm’s drawing.
My dragon was made in 2009 and based on my own drawing. So my amigurumi was made years before All About Ami’s and you can see that the drawings are of different designs.
If I’m inspired by someone else’s design or use someone else’s pattern, it’ll say so in the description. I have no problems with giving credit. :)
Bird Bird amigurumi
I took a break from working on my patterns to test Harugurumi's Bird Bird amigurumi pattern. The design is very cute and the pattern is easy to follow!
I used Loops & Threads Impeccable in Soft Taupe, Heather & White and Caron Simply Soft in Soft Pink. It took me about 5-6 hours to make and it's about 7" tall.

Amigurumi Pattern Book
I’d love to get a book published of my amigurumi patterns so I’ve been working on a book proposal. I just need to know… would you be interested in buying a book of my amigurumi patterns? You can check out my designs on DeviantArt.
Unicorn Amigurumis!

I just finished these two rainbow unicorns last night! They will be going to their new homes soon! :)
Here's a photo of three unicorns together. The one on the right is mine! ♥

Mini Pig Amigurumi Pattern
This design is pretty basic and should be easy to make. :)
P.S.
After nearly a year long hiatus from my shop, I've finally re-opened it and I'm focusing on trying to make many amigurumi and other things to sell.
Since I'm expecting a little one, I am determined to make at least one thing a day for my shop! :D
So I currently have no plans to write up any more patterns for a while. The process of putting it all together makes me really tired because of having to look at the computer screen for so long.
However, if you're interested in tips or tutorials on any stitches/techniques for crochet/knitting, let me know as that'd be much easier for me to do.

Photographing Amigurumi & Crafts Tips: Lighting
1. Natural Light - Outdoors
Shade and overcast days are best for even lighting.
Too much direct sunlight can make it difficult to capture the true colors, overexpose areas, and cast distracting shadows. You can block sunlight with a sheet or paper.
Overcast.
2. Natural Light - Indoors
Use indirect light from windows.
You can also use materials (white paper, white sheet, foil, etc) to reflect light back on the dark side of the item.
Indoors; window on the left.
3. Flash
I don't recommend using direct, straight on flash because it'll wash out the colors and you'll get distracting shadows.
If you need to use flash, you should bounce it up at a white ceiling and or diffuse it. If your flash is built in the camera, you can still try to bounce the light by using a white card or diffuse it with tissue.
4. Light Box
You can buy one or make one yourself. There's a few different set ups. Most DIY ones consist of a cardboard box, white poster board, tracing/tissue paper, and at least 2 lights such as clip on lamps.
My Photo Set Up for the Nom Nom Monsters:

I used the back of a book as the background with natural light coming from windows above and behind the amigurumi. A lamp was on a few feet behind me and I also used white paper from a notebook (on the right) to bounce light on the side of the amigurumi that's a little darker.

Nautilus Amigurumi
We've been getting requests for other cephalopods at Squittle so I finally made a baby nautilcus amigurumi.
I got to use a few fancy techniques I haven't used for amigurumi before. It takes some time to make. :3
It's about 4.5" tall and 2.5" wide with 1" tentacles.
